Operations Manager - Johannesburg at Unique Personnel

Job Description    

• Planning and compiling installation and Maintenance schedules 
• Checking maintenance and condition of machines daily for any defects/potential risks that need to be raised and/or addressed. 
• Overseeing Workshop and Warehouse/Operations office daily operations. 
• Assisting with customer queries. 
• Packing invoices
• Checking orders, phoning the customer / courier when order is ready. 
• Making sure all stock for exports is processed, labelled, engraved. 
• Loading of Mat & Eve delivery vans. 
• Ensure that staff has necessary tools to complete jobs (screws, plugs, batteries, rags). 
• Communicates with Operations Manager for work required. 
• Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met. 
• Plan the arrangement of goods within the warehouse. 
• Assess order priorities and assign to employees accordingly, ensuring that work is on schedule. 
• Assess stock levels and plan workday of laundry staff effectively to ensure that there are sufficient mats available for the next day’s schedule. 
• Manage and motivate teams, training and discipline of staff with respect to ensure productivity targets are met. 
• Communicate and respond as required with other departments and customers. 
• Ensure clear understanding of all issues like safety and company rules so that proper procedures are followed at all times and ensuring adherence by staff. 
• Liaises with Management in regards to completed orders, required stock levels / maintenance of all equipment & machinery. 
• Oversee Mat/Washroom Installations 
• Supervise and assist with installations and maintenance services 
• In-house Maintenance Repairs 
• Any Admin that will be required of you - Housekeeping of the warehouse and Mat Cage (Ensuring the Warehouse and Mat Cage is clean and categorised, labelled with Bin Locations at all times) -
• Weekly critical stock counts, Monthly stock counts and yearly stock counts 
• And any other functions that may be required of the Marketing Director, within the scope of this position
• Assisting receiving all deliveries 
• Checking that all deliveries are completed against orders 
• Placing orders for SS, SM&SF 
• Follow up with suppliers – samples deliveries - Stock count weekly

Inherent Requirements    

• Matric,
• Management Training (Advantageous)
• MS Office package
• 5 Years industry specific experience
• Good leadership skills
• Computer literate, including basic hardware
• Driver’s license
• Own Vehicle
