Operations Manager - Muizenberg at Cape Herb & Spice

Key Functional Areas:

• Responsible for overall management of the manufacturing processes as well as pre and post manufacturing support functions and activities.
• Manage monthly as well as annual metrics to support operation productivity, quality, food safety, delivery and H&S.
• Ensure compliance and accuracy on Procedures, Systems and Processes
• Ensure accurate and efficient Inventory Management
• Report on performance measures on a predetermined frequency
• Lead a team of motivated Supervisors and Managers in a customer focussed and efficiency driven environment
• Responsible for continuous improvement, management of best practices, documenting standard work, and ensuring highest possible levels of productivity.
• Drive the implementation of as well as compliance with the company Food Safety, Quality and HSE programs.
• Manage third party service providers.
• Manage costs against budgets set.
• Ensure site is appropriately staffed and functions are covered based on shift schedule.
• Manage team by effectively reviewing and providing feedback on KPI’s.

• Management of Logistics into and out of the site

Required prior learning/ experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required
• 5- 10 years' People management experience is required
• 5- 10 years' Production Management and leadership experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Experience in implementing world class manufacturing practices
