Operations Specialist: Investment Administrator at Standard Bank Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for daily dealing (equities, bonds, money market instruments, currency purchases and offshore trades). Process portfolio transfers internally and with the respective custodians. Thorough understanding of the different types of portfolio transfers and tax implications. Ensuring the accurate capturing of Book Costs VS CGT values. Perform daily cash reconciliations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• Type of Qualification: Diploma, Investment Administration

Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years experience in Strong knowledge of industry operations practices associated with an Asset Management environment including asset / investment administration systems and service providers. Dealing with Fund Accountants, Custodians, Data Vendors, Internal and External stakeholders. Comprehensive knowledge in processing client and 3rd party payments. Very good understanding of the billing process and understand the impact markets have on performance fee calculations. Comprehensive knowledge of markets and settlement processes (local and offshore) and Portfolio transfers. Experience in daily cash reconciliation. Produce Regulation 28 compliance certificates & SARB reports. Understand the IT3, FATCA and CRS requirements and submissions to SARS. Familiar with market prices and valuations.
