Operator Back Actor - South32, Wessels Mine (FTC) at South32

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

• The purpose of the role is to safely clean faces by means of a Back Actor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have Grade 12 with Mathematics together with 1 year working experience in a mining environment;
• Mobile Equipment Licence is essential;
• Valid drivers license is essential.
   

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Clean the area for footwall examination prior to marking;
• Daily prestart inspections on machinery;
• Daily cleaning of machinery;
• Achieve KPI targets and objectives;
• Conduct continuous hazard identification and risk assessment within a workplace;
• Address workplace hazards and risks;
• Apply health, safety, security and housekeeping;
• Participate in investigations into workplace incidents;
• Report any unsafe behaviour, conditions and incidents to the responsible person;
• End of shift reporting.
