Operator Face Prep - South32, Wessels Mine

- Job Field Engineering / Technical , Logistics
POSITION SYNOPSIS:
- The purpose of this role is to to safely inspect, wash and prepare faces for drilling.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Serious contenders will have a Grade 12 with Mathematics for internal candidate and Grade 10 for internal candidates only together with 1-year relevant experience;
- Valid Driver’s license is essential;
- Underground experience is advantageous.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Pump water using Submersible De-watering Pumps
- Install submersible pumps;
- Clean the area for footwall examination prior to marking;
- Wash and clean face for inspection;
- Treat and remove misfires;
- Assist with marking (lines and grades).
