Operator Face Prep - Wessels Mine at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

• As an Operator Face Prep you will be responsible to safely inspect, wash, and prepare faces for drill;

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Pump water using Submersible De-watering Pumps;
• Install submersible pumps;
• Clean the area for footwall examination prior examination prior to marking;
• Wash and clean face for inspection;
• Treat and remove misfires;
• Assist with making ( lines and grades).

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year working relevant experience;

• Proof of residence (copy of municipal water & lights, or a letter from a Council member or Chief)

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics  for external candidates and Grade 10 for internal candidates;
• Valid driver’s license is essential;
• Underground experience is advantageous.
