Operator GR3: Grader at Gold One Group Limited

Qualifying Criteria:

• Grade 11 or equivalent qualification
• Code 08 / 10 license
• MQA Competency B Certificate; Relevant qualifications, courses and operating licenses
• 1-3 years’ experience in a trackless mining environment is essential and required.
• Must have Dover Test Results in A or B or will be submitted for Dover Testing
• Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
• Applicant must possess good verbal communication skills.
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record
• Declared medically fit for the position by our OHP

Responsibilities:

• Will be required to work shifts.
• Assist with and monitor preventative and breakdown maintenance during shift (fill up fuel, oil, lubrication, etc.)
• Assist with daily checks and weekly services
• Be observant / vigilant when the machine is operational and / or in motion.
• Road maintenance.
• Cuts, slopes and grades roadbeds and shoulders.
• Constructs and maintains roads and berms.
• Clear rock and mud slides from roadways.
• Excavate roadways and trenches.
• Perform other road maintenance construction operations.
• Ensure that the machine is in good operating order and report any faults and inconsistencies to Supervisor and Control Room
• Always take instructions from the Supervisor responsible for the area/workplace
• Manage and maintain in area of responsibility in accordance with mine standards, procedures, and practices.
