Qualifying Criteria:

Responsibilities:

• Work a cycle or a rotation of shifts
• Good operating skills and at least 1-3 years experience within a trackless mining environment
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections and complete daily checklist
• Assist with daily check and weekly services
• Be observant/vigilant when the machine is operational and / or in motion
• Loading and clearing of ore for transportation by the trucks
• Assist with and monitor preventative and breakdown maintenance during shift (fill up fuel, oil, lubrication, etc.)
• Ensure that the machine is in good operating order and report any faults and inconsistencies to the supervisor (s) and control room
• Always take instructions from the supervisor(s) responsible for the shift
• Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications

Responsibilities:

• Work a rotation of shifts
• Operate self-propelled machine to install side wall support / or hanging wall support bolts in underground trackless mine
• Drive the machine into position, safely insert drill bit in drill chuck prior to drilling
• Drill bolt holes into roofs at specified distances for ribs or adjacent bolts
• Force bolts into drilled holes using hydraulic mechanisms of self-propelled machine
• Test bolts for specified and required tension
• Assist with and monitor preventative and breakdown maintenance during shift (fill up fuel, oil, lubrication, etc.)
• Assist with servicing the machine
• Ensure that the machine is in good operating order and report any faults and inconsistencies to supervisor and controllers
• Always take instructions from the supervisor(s) responsible for the shift
• Practice and adhere to company policies and procedures

Responsibilities:

• Inspection and completion of equipment checklist before the commencement of work
• Conduct daily and weekly basic maintenance activities on equipment and services.
• Obtain daily, weekly, and monthly work instructions from Supervisor.
• Prepare and plan work priority list and resource requirements to complete tasks.
• Effective LHD operation to achieve targets within set quality standards.
• Ensure that all resource requirements are communicated to the Shift/team Supervisor to complete allocated work tasks.
• Ensure that the correct tools are used to complete tasks.
• Effective driving of equipment.
• Communicate any stumbling blocks to the appropriate Shift/team Supervisor so that plans can be made.
• Ensure safe and proper running of all machinery and equipment is conducted.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations.
• Conduct basic maintenance activities on equipment.
• Ensure that any operational problem that is encountered is reported even if outside the immediate area of responsibility.
• Participate in required SHE meetings.
• Ensure that all safety and legal requirements are carefully followed.
• Ensure that all work conducted is performed to the required standards and safety specifications.
• Alert other workers in the section when work is being conducted to ensure safety.
• Manage and maintain in area of responsibility in accordance with mine standards, procedures, and practices.

• Assist in servicing the vehicle
• Assist with and monitor preventative and breakdown maintenance during shift (fill up fuel, oil, lubrication, etc.)
• Be observant/vigilant when the machine is operational and in motion, help in the installation of pipes (vent and water pipes, etc.), suspension of electrical cables, and any other related duties that are performed at heights and on the face
• Verify the level of the machine using specified levels
• Ensure that the machine is in good operating order and report any faults and inconsistencies to supervisor (s) and controller (s)
• Always take instructions from the supervisor(s) responsible for the shift

• Drives the machine into position, inserts safely drill bit (s) in drill chuck (s) prior starting to drill
• Drill blast holes onto the face at specified distances from one another
• Good operating skills and at least 2-3 years’ experience within the trackless mining
• Ensure that blast holes are drilled in line with specified and recommended direction
• Ensure that all the booms are directed to the right markings of the face to be drilled
• Always test the hanging and side wall before and whilst drilling and be vigilant and observant
• Assist with and monitor preventative and breakdown maintenance during shift (fill up fuel, oil, lubrication, etc.)
• Assist in servicing the machine
• Ensure that the machine is in good operating order and report any faults and inconsistencies to supervisor (s) and controllers
