Operator Hauler - Wessels Mine at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.
• As an Operator Hauler/mobile equipment you will be responsible for conducting risk assessment before all tasks and identify risk and hazards.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Participate in investigations into workplace incidents;
• Report any unsafe behaviour, conditions and incident to the responsible person;
• Conduct pre-use inspections, routine inspections and report defects;
• Operate mobile equipment based on operational requirements.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in operating mobile equipment in a mining environment;
• Mining production experience in underground mining operation is essential;
• A minimum of two valid equipment licenses on either CAT ADT30 Hauler, other relevant licenses ( Rock breaker, Loader, Water bowser, Dozer, Bob Cat, Normet scaler) will be advantageous.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 10 for internal candidates only and Grade 12 with Mathematics for external employees;
• Valid Code B or C1 Driver’s License is essential;
• Competency A Certificate is advantageous.
