Ops Spec: Scrum Master (Retail) at BCX

Core Description

• Responsible for applying Scrum Project methodology to deliver projects within the Retail and Healthcare Solutions environment. Projects must be completed within scope and budget. This includes managing timelines, resolving problems and coaching team members on Agile methodologies.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

•     Uses Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our Retail Solutions customers. 
•     Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the projects are delivered in line with Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines. 
•     Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams. 
•     Resolves team impediments with other stakeholders to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the Business Unit.  
•     Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. 
•     Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to mainly Business as Usual (BAU) work and to a lesser degree, important department initiatives and applicable portions of corporate projects and initiatives. 
•     Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur 
•     Help teams implement changes effectively 
•     Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint

Minimum Qualifications

• NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in Information Technology
• OR NQF 4: Grade 12

Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage
Experience

• 3 years’ experience in Project Management using Scrum Methodology in the Retail ICT industry

Or 

• If the highest qualification is grade 12, 5 years’ experience in Project Management using Scrum Methodology in the Retail ICT industry

Certifications

• Scrum Master Certification
