OT Specialist Engineer - Johannesburg at Datacentrix

Responsibilities:

The Specialist is expected to do the following:

• Providing oversight and professional guidance on engineering requirements. 
• Review and closeout tasks weekly. 
• Assist in the integration planning work with other infrastructure projects being implemented on site; 
• Ensure drawings and work are approved 
• Supervise and direct projects by applying industry experience and specialized knowledge. 
• Implement Kumba governance and standards within the OT environment for engineering drawings and quality control. 
• Providing project support across the OT and C&I disciplines. 
• Produce installation guides for fleet installations. 
• Quality inspections. 
• Vendor management for engineering drawings deliverables. 
• Agree engineering and drawing standards and specifications for project deliverables. 
• Understand the Anglo-American Operating Model with a focus on Work Management.

Experience and knowledge:

• Experience in Mining environments
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be comfortable communicating with technology co-workers to help users understand technology options in a way that is concise and logical

Minimum requirements:

• Proven working experience in engineering, strong in planning and vendor engagement.
• 5 years working experience in operational/project experience within the OT-environment.
• Preferable Engineering degree from a recognized university.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong working knowledge digitisation in the workplace.
• Familiarity with mining and mining concepts, practices and procedures
