Job Function

• We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our production team. The Production Manager will be responsible for performing various tasks in our production facility to help ensure the efficient and timely production of goods. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

• Grade 12/ NQF 4
• Relevant qualification in Production-/ Operational Management will serve as recommendation
• Proficiency in the MS Office package
• At least 3 - 5 years’ experience within the milling environment
• Proven working knowledge of quality controls and processes within a mill

Duties and Responsibilities

• Sourcing quality packaging material at best prices from suppliers to ensure optimal profitability
• Ensure continuous supply of packaging material to production to prevent financial losses
• Comply with occupational health and safety requirements as per standards and procedures
• Comply continuously to quality control policy according to internal quality control and legislation to ensure the quality of the product
• To facilitate and coordinate the Human Resources function within the relevant department daily
• Monthly compile and report to management on packaging activities.
• Planning and scheduling of packaging processes and machines according to sales and production schedules on a daily basis
• Planning of puchases of packaging material procurement and stock control on a daily basis.
• Continiously ensure that the right quantity packaging material is available for production and logistic arrangements.
• Drive brilliant basics & continuous improvement.
• Act as an enabler to make things happen effectively display relentless focus on developing momentum.
• Set stretching goals for self and others and deliver on these.
