• Westfalia Fruit has a 3-month fixed term contractvacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Packer / General Worker based in Gauteng - Kempton Park and Midrand

Purpose of the role:

• The Packer / General Worker is responsible for sorting, packing, and ensuring the quality of fruit according to company standards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to health and food safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Fruit Sorting & Packing:

• Inspect fruit for quality, size, and maturity, removing any that do not meet specifications
• Pack fruit into specified packaging while maintaining product integrity

Production Efficiency & Compliance:

• Work efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards
• Always ensure adherence to health and safety protocols
• Comply with food safety standards and company procedures
• Understanding of stock processes and systems

Minimum Requirements:

Education

• Matric (Grade 12) required

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role

Skills:

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Organized and detail oriented
