Painter - Cape Town at Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel

In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

• Preparing surfaces by removing old paint or wallpaper, filling cracks and holes, and sanding where necessary.
• Repairing and making any necessary adjustments to surfaces before painting or wallpapering.
• Ensuring safety measures and guidelines are followed while performing tasks.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis to Keep the hotel décor in good condition.
• Prepare and paint surfaces of building structure, furniture and equipment using proper application techniques and various products.
• Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
• This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and knowledge of various painting techniques and materials. The selected candidate will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
