Campus Health is a youth-friendly clinic that seeks the services of a part-time medical doctor for two hours Monday to Friday for 3 years.
The suitable candidate should have a medical degree, MBCHB, or equivalent with least 3 years of community service training in a recognized and accredited institution as approved by HPCSA.
HPCSA must have approved qualifications obtained outside the Republic of South Africa. Proof of current registration with HPCSA as an independent practitioner and dispensing license or certificate is mandatory.
Experience in HIV/AIDs, TB management, and NIMART certificate has an added advantage. Candidate must be from Vhembe District (Thulamela Municipality, for accessibility in case of emergencies).
Duties:
Consultation of patients.
Perform minor surgical procedures.
Monitoring and managing the side effects for clients who are using Ante Retroviral (ARV) drugs.
Assist in giving health education on medical conditions, lectures, training, and in research.
Completion of medical reports
Make appropriate referrals to hospitals and specialists.
Analysis of health statistics
Assist the university in compliance, and accreditation of health services and programs as required to provide high-quality service that is proactive, and solution-focused and responsive to customer needs.
