    Partner Development Manager - Public Sector

    DESCRIPTION

    Partner Development Manager

    • This role requires your business and industry expertise to help us position AWS as the technology platform of the future. As a Partner Manager, you’ll help execute on our strategy to build mind share and assist adoption of Amazon’s infrastructure web services including Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon SimpleDB, Amazon SQS across our strategic business partners in South Africa often working at CXO level.
    • You will be driving executive and field relationships with leading partners and impacting on Public Sector AWS adoption.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    •  Establishing and growing business and technical relationships, and managing the day-to-day interactions with these accounts
    •  Creating and articulating compelling value propositions around AWS
    •  Driving overall customer adoption, and interacting seamlessly with Public Sector customers and AWS team members across services


    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • You should have significant Partner management or business development experience in the software or technology industry. This should include strong technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of driving emerging or disruptive technologies like open source software, virtualization and Software as a Service delivery models.
    • You will also need strong program management skills with a focus on delivering scalable programs supporting hundreds of customers and partners.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Degree educated or equivalent
    •  Experience in South Africa Public Sector
