About the Role

• As a Parts Manager, you will oversee the effective management of inventory and supply chain processes within the automotive parts department. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the availability and quality of parts while maintaining efficient operational standards that enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement, inventory control, and distribution of automotive parts to meet business demands.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of parts.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations, implementing strategies for stock optimization.
• Supervise a team of parts personnel, providing training and guidance to enhance their performance and productivity.
• Coordinate with various departments, including service and sales, to ensure accurate parts availability for customer orders and repairs.
• Implement inventory management software and systems to streamline operations and improve reporting capabilities.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Prepare and present reports on inventory status, supplier performance, and operational efficiency to senior management.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in parts management or a related field within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or qualification in supply chain management or inventory control.
