    Parts Sales and Services Representative - Burgersfort

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Identifies prospects and assists with the preparation of presentations.
    • Develops sales skills and knowledge of the products, services, and customers by working closely with a more experienced sales representative to promote products, close orders and resolve problems.
    • Maintain and update the Core database with details of customer activities.
    • Develop understanding of machining practices and processes utilizing modern tooling systems and how ’s product portfolio meets the market needs.
    • Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met.
    • To support field sales reps with product testing and related tasks in order to ultimately support additional sales and market share gains.
    • Gather and compile data, tool testing comparisons, competitive information, and cost comparisons.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Developing sales opportunities for all Sandvik Mining product lines, with a focus on aftermarket products and support
    • Performing gap analysis on existing fleet to identify sales opportunities.
    • Audits & fleet Updated by quarter.
    • Participating as a key member in an account or sales team
    • Assessing customers’ total potential with Sandvik Mining products by performing opportunity analysis by customer and site. Proactive sales approach.
    • Liaising with the customer on aftermarket issues to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner
    • Responsible for achievement of agreed targets and sales budget.
    • Customer KPI’s development. Focus on productivity and reliability as a company value proposition.
    • Staying current with industry developments affecting sales and customers
    • Other duties as assigned

    Profile Required:

    • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
    • Relevant Certificate / Diploma in Sales and marketing
    • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous
    • Experience in earth moving parts environment (5 years)
    • Experience in Sales and Marketing (5 years)
    • Experience in mining applications (Specifically mechanized mining) (5 years)
    • Technical knowledge is key in this role.
    • Previous knowledge or experience with Sandvik products would be considered an asset
    • Strong analytical/data analysis skills
    • Computer literacy
