Payroll Officer at AngloGold Ashanti

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Accountable for the full payroll administrative function within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12
• A tertiary qualification would be an added advantage
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Human Resources or Payroll department.
• Sound Payroll knowledge
• Relevant generalist HR knowledge
• SAP Payroll experience is essential
• Must have a thorough understanding of South African Tax Legislation, Tax reconciliation and the IRP5 process.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Full Payroll administration i.e., accurate capturing of information onto the SAP system.
• Leave Administration- Assisting staff with leave queries, leave recons and ESS.
• Monthly 3rd Party reconciliations and Audits.
• Timely and accurate monthly payments.
• Timely and accurate employee payment processing.
• Record keeping -Ensuring that all documents are kept in an organised manner for Audit requests.
• Off-cycle payments.
• Overall payroll queries.
• Assist with payroll payroll-related financial year-end procedures as directed by the Payroll Manager.
