Job Description

• A leading player in the stainless steel manufacturing industry is looking for a skilled PC&D Engineer to join their technical team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and optimizing the sophisticated control systems and modeling software that drive high-quality production.

Responsibilities

• System Optimization: Design, develop, and maintain advanced engineering Control Systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
• Process Modeling: Develop and refine heat transfer and rolling models to improve product quality and process predictability.
• Software Maintenance: Troubleshoot and update existing software architectures to align with evolving manufacturing requirements.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with the metallurgical and production teams to translate complex physical processes into functional digital control logic.
• Innovation: Implement modern software solutions to enhance real-time data acquisition and automated decision-making on the plant floor.

Requirements

• Education: B.Eng. in Electrical, Electronic, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering; alternatively, a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in software development within an industrial or engineering context.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, C#, or Visual Basic.
• Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrated experience working with engineering Control Systems, with a specific focus on heat transfer and rolling modeling.
• Industry Focus: A background in heavy industry or metallurgy is highly advantageous.
