Performance Tester at Command Quality (Pty) Ltd

Position Overview:

• As a Performance Tester at Command Quality, you will be responsible for ensuring system performance meets business and technical requirements. Your role involves designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to enhance application reliability, scalability, and efficiency. You will work closely with business, operations, development, infrastructure, and QA teams to optimize system performance and ensure seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy & Planning – Define performance test strategies, document test plans, and align testing with project timelines.
• Performance Testing Execution – Design and develop automated test scripts, execute load/stress/capacity tests, and monitor system behavior.
• Analysis & Optimization – Identify performance bottlenecks, analyze test results, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Collaboration & Reporting – Work with cross-functional teams to source requirements, provide insights, and generate performance reports for stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement – Recommend new tools and techniques to enhance testing efficiency and ensure best practices are implemented.

Requirements:

• A relevant three-year degree or National Diploma in fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Professional Experience:

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in software testing or quality assurance, with at least 3 years specializing in performance testing.
• Proficiency in performance testing tools and methodologies, with a proven track record of identifying and resolving system performance issues.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of performance testing tools and methodologies.
• Experience with load testing software to simulate user activity and assess system performance.
• Ability to analyze application and system logs to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation for performance testing purposes
