PETN Plant Operator at AECI Limited

Job Description    
• Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards: Works according to SHE rules and regulations and Operating Instruction and within all operating procedures and quality plans
• Plant specific procedures and rules: knowledge of start-up and shut down processes
• Understanding, recognizing and handling of hazardous chemicals in the department
• Preparation and titration of PETN on all PETN Plants and pond clean up
• Transferring of fresh acid to acid storage tank
• Stabilization of PETN as per plant quality procedure
• Prepare samples for analysis and testing
• Interpret test results and take corrective action
• Maintenance of the PETN plants as per requirement
Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience    
• A minimum qualification of Grade 12 (Matric)/N3, preferably with technical subjects.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
