Pharmacy IT Systems Specialist - Sandton at Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
• Current registration with South African Pharmacy council.
• Diploma in Information Technology.
• A qualification in Project Management will be an added advantage.
• 5 years’ experience working as a pharmacist.
• 3 years’ experience working with information technologies and systems analysis in Pharmacy.
• Ability to translate business needs into IT solutions.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Efficient and integrated pharmacy IT systems management

• Tests, evaluates and recommends the purchase, deployment or installation of pharmacy-related software based on customer feedback.
• Conduct research on emerging trends in pharmacy technology and recommend customised processes and technologies.
• Researches, analyses and evaluates software (including cloud technologies) for network compatibility.
• Collaborate with the IT Enterprise Architect in managing initiatives that align to the Clinix Digital Strategy to optimise applications and related software.
• Identify opportunities for improving efficiency of business processes.
• Review and recommend Pharmacy change requests (at Head Office and Hospital levels) in accordance with IT processes and procedures.
• Support the Enterprise Architect and IT Site Engineers by analysing incidents raised on the pharmacy applications.
• Analyse data contained in the CHG repository and identify data integrity issues with existing pharmacy systems and implemented solutions.
• Produce technical documentation for new and existing pharmacy applications.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new pharmacy software (including cloud technologies) projects across the Group.
• Provide assistance and advice to the broader IT operations team and end users as it relates to the effective use of pharmacy applications.
