Photographer & Videographer: Hi & VAS at TFG (The Foschini Group)

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and craft a photography & video style that supports the Brand’s strategic intent.
• Manage the efficient delivery of world class images and video that meet the Brand’s specs and quality standards whilst maintaining studio through-put & cost per image/video.
• Capturing the benefits and uniqueness of each product at its highest visual potential.
• Support the Brands objectives through a visual representation.
• Adhere to brand and product style guides to ensure photograph and video alignment and consistency.
• Methodical thinking for video/photoshoots to improve structure and reduce editing load. 
• Stage and capture products onsite in a studio and/or location and process images through post-production
• Shoot Brand right model images/video, product images/video and lifestyle images/video appropriate for the various communication channels
• Shoot high quality catalogue product stills for deep etching.
• Support the necessary styling and crafting of products, models or mood to ensure highest quality of images. 
• Creating a positive atmosphere for models and stylists or other production members in shoot.
• Create imaging assets that showcase products at their highest visual potential
• Produce digital images and video content that meets production standards and require minimal reshoots and retouching and editing
• Colour & Lighting guru for digital images and print retouching and video shoots
• Competent in finished art and final hi-res pdf preparation for print and digital
• Ability to manage large volumes of images to maintain consistency across an entire shoot.
• Explore trends and evolve photo ideation for collaboration with design / creative teams.
• Fulfil file-naming and metadata initiatives to fulfil accurate and complete digital asset protocols for all files.
• Maintain and manage equipment, and keep studio clean and ready for use at all times

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in photography or visual communication preferred
• Minimum of 2-years studio photography and video experience
• Experience in video colour grading
• Minimum of 1-year colour correction and retouching experience
• Experience in fashion, product or jewellery product photography/videography preferred
• Photo and photo/video editing experience
• Knowledge of product staging and lighting for photoshoots and video shoots, including various background, prop, and lifestyle/action settings
• Proficiency in using DSLR, Mirrorless and smartphone cameras.
• Proficiency in photo/video editing software, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After effects, Cap Cut and Bridge
• Proficiency with Mac OS environments and software packages
• Experience with image/video file prep and asset management
• Experience working with RAW / PSD / TIFF / J-PEG/MP4/MOV/AI formats

Skills:  

• Video production ( Shooting, directing and producing video content)
• Visual story telling to convey messages and objective through visual media.
• Strong multitasking skills (ability to work on more than one brief at any given time) 
• Strong time management skills  
• Adobe Creative cloud (Photoshop, Premiere pro, After effects, Lightroom)
• Knowledge of   audio equipment & techniques for audio capturing
• Expertise in setting up and using studio/natural lighting to enhance photo/video
• Capcut will be advantageous 
• Setup and understanding of all photo and video equipment
• Strong video and image editing skills
