Job Description

As the Planning and Scheduling Specialist your responsibilities will include production planning, preparation and scheduling for manufacture products as well as ensuring the stats and information is accurate. Other responsibilities will include:

• Maintenance Planning, which includes compliance maintenance with stakeholders and outline maintenance in accordance to the plans and relevant quotes

• Overall daily, weekly and monthly reporting, including status updates and decision-making processes

• Implementation of the operating model and driving delivery and sustainability of the business performance set out in the Life of the Asset Plan

• Overall people management, including staff development and implementing a high performing culture/ team

• Ensure compliance of the teams, compliance governance and continuous investigations of incidents ensuring our health and safety principles are being adhered to

This role is in the Discipline Planning - General Engineering Services section at Band 6 and reports to the Section Manager Discipline Planning.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering

• 5 years relevant experience operational planning and scheduling experience within mining industry.

• Understanding of the principles of how operational processes are classified according to the Operating Model with a focus on Work Management.

• Project management fundamentals.

• Business acumen and understanding of commercial drivers regarding site performance.

• Basic financial understanding of metrics & budgeting tools.

• Understanding/knowledge of Risk management techniques and critical controls.
