• The Plant Engineer position at Viljoenskroon is a full-time, on-site role dedicated to overseeing plant operations. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

Minimum Requirements    
Requirements:

• Relevant Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)
• Previously appointed as GMR2.1 (>3000KW).
• FMCG experience
• GCC Factories related practical work experience post-qualification.
• Project management experience in factory/process development.
• Proven track record in maintenance of manufacturing & processing plants
• Boiler plant/steam system experience and knowledge.
• Ability to manage the engineering department, budget, and plant maintenance to optimise plant availability.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Projects & AutoCAD)
• Valid Driver’s License & willing to travel.
• Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Medical Fitness

Duties and Responsibilities    
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Overseeing the installation, repair, and upkeep of the Feed Factory (Mechanical & Electrical)
• Compiling and managing maintenance and capital budgets.
• Liaising and mentoring a multi-disciplined maintenance team
• Manage and improve the computerized management maintenance system (Pragma)
• Initiate and participate in engineering improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labour legislation, with specific emphasis on the Occupational Health and Safety Act
