2 years of safety management experience and an in depth knowledge of all related legislation.
At least 3 5 years experience in high pressure production or maintenance environment.
Proven track record in a plant production and/or maintenance role.
Knowledge of and applicable skills in plant maintenance, repair and installation of equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring a safe and legally compliant working environment and work practices at the plant.
Taking full responsibility for maintaining an improving productivity of the plant which includes amongst others; optomising plant settings; quality control; performing first level maintance; cost control; managing reporting staff, planning and executing work; tracking and reporting plant performance.
Ensuring adequate technical capacity to effectively and sustainably support the fixed plant maintanance requirements of the operation.
Establishing a pro active and performance based maintenance culture on the plant and collaborating with earthmoving equipment maintenance staff to ensure minimal downtime and a coordinated maintenance effort to support effective production and achievement of targeted production and financial results.
