The purpose of the role is as follows:

• The Global Markets Technology Murex Platform Head will lead a team of Functional and Technical Murex Specialists, DevOps engineers, Developers and Test Analysts that provide front to back to risk and collateral support and solutions on the murex platform. These include risk management, position management, trade lifecycle management, collateral operations and trade booking. These functions are provided across all asset classes. The role will be delivery and management focused.

Are you someone who can:​

• Accountable for Platforms that are leveraged across the organization. Technologies that are used to build and deliver products. Including, Integration Platform, RPA platforms, Data and Analytics platforms, QA, and other shared platforms.
• Deliver a comprehensive roadmap for solutions within Platform Services.
• Stand up CoE(s) capabilities to help enable adoption, create leveraged assets to be consumed by Product teams.
• Collaborate with product owners to deliver ongoing innovation and solutions to meet evolving business needs.
• Ensure technology standards and architecture that can be leverages across the organization and is in alignment with products and consumer functions.
• Oversee vendor management, including selection, negotiations, and relationship management with strategic partners.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, governance processes, and application rationalization efforts to deliver enhancements across corporate platforms.
• Manage a significant annual budget and ensure the effective allocation of resources to achieve business objectives.
• Drive our Platforms function to deliver the activities, technologies and resources that facilitate and underpin our technology capabilities.
• Support and drive the team to build, operate and assure best in class reliability, capacity and security across our platforms.
• Facilitate and enable the move to cloud technologies, introducing, implementing and operating best practice and evolving ways of working to take advantage of the improved technologies.
• Manage partners, and budget and driving initiatives to review and recommend initiatives to improve service and secure savings.
• Collaborate with and influence technology peers to own the overall solution design and implementation of our Platforms roadmap and strategy in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT peers to Design and Build an IT Operations function, integrated with the IT Service Desk, which appropriately supports our business outcomes.
• Create and maintain a world-class platform.
• Provide thought leadership to the team.
• Drive the adoption of modern practices in platform technologies and continuous delivery.
• Raise the standard of engineering across the whole chapter.
• Establish and embed the key architectural principles for the platform within the company.
• Management of assigned risks in accordance with the risk management approach.
• Lead and grow the capabilities of the team.

You will be an ideal candidate if you have the following:

Qualifications and Experience:

• A graduate qualification in Accounting, Investments, Engineering or Technology – combination an advantage
• 10+ years’ experience in a variety of management  technical roles managing teams preferably within aGlobal Markets environment
• Strong understanding of multiple asset classes and banking products and how they are executed
• Good understanding of technical integration tools like Control M, Tibco, Informatica, Reporting tools, Market Data.
• Good understanding of Agile work methods
• Good understanding of project/program management.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and networking
• Strong technical background covering architecture, integration, data warehousing, API’s. Trading Technology Experience an advantage
