    The purpose of the role is as follows:

    • The Global Markets Technology Murex Platform Head will lead a team of Functional and Technical Murex Specialists, DevOps engineers, Developers and Test Analysts that provide front to back to risk and collateral support and solutions on the murex platform. These include risk management, position management, trade lifecycle management, collateral operations and trade booking. These functions are provided across all asset classes. The role will be delivery and management focused.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • A graduate qualification in Accounting, Investments, Engineering or Technology – combination an advantage
    • 10+ years’ experience in a variety of management  technical roles managing teams preferably within aGlobal Markets environment
    • Strong understanding of multiple asset classes and banking products and how they are executed
    • Good understanding of technical integration tools like Control M, Tibco, Informatica, Reporting tools, Market Data.

    • Building and maintaining professional working relationships with all stakeholders, which includes working alongside experienced business and risk executives and acting as a bridge,
    • Adaptation of communication styles to meet the needs of different audiences, and
    • Conflict management.

    You Will Be An Ideal Candidate If You:

    • Are ideally CA (SA) or CFA with relevant credit analyst experience within Investment Banking, although a newly qualified CA (SA) or a graduate whose degree has a strong quantitative focus will be considered
    • Strong work ethic with a self-starter attitude and a keenness to take ownership of the role’s opportunities and personal development
    • Resilience and an openness to receiving and sharing feedback,
    • Ability to handle stress well, which includes self-management of workload (2 to 3+ deals at any point in time), quick adaptation to deal changes, prioritization of deals, and open communication on capacity.
