Postdoctoral Research Fellowship: Agricultural Economics& Extension
Hold a doctoral degree in Agricultural Economics within the last five years.
South Africans or Permanent residents or internationals for full-time research at the University of Fort Hare.
However, preference will be given to South African Citizens or holders of SA Permanent Residence.
Young and emerging scholar.
Demonstrate relevant experience and understanding of Climate Change and Climate-resilience.
Evidence of publications in DHET accredited journals (minimum of 3 publications will be an added advantage).
This is a 1 year contract fellowship @ R300 000 per annum with a possibility to renew (renewal subject to production of 2 Units in DHET accredited journals)
Postdoctoral fellowship renewals shall be in accordance with the postdoctoral research fellowship policy of the university of Fort Hare.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS / EXPECTATIONS:
The successful Postdoctoral Fellow is required to produce at least 2 Units in DHET accredited journals during the tenure of the fellowship.
The expertise of the PDRF is expected to contribute to the research productivity of Department of Agricultural Economics & Extension.
The successful candidate will be required to conduct innovative research and obtain evidenced-based empirical data on “Climate-resilient based food-energy-water nexus for sustainable renewable energy welfare gains in South Africa” study.
