BA/BS Degree, preferably in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline or the equivalent of 4 years of related professional experience. 3 Years plus in a Mid to Senior role, more than 6 years plus total experience required.
Experience working with PostgreSQL in both on- premises and in cloud environments to build a database access monitoring solution for PostgreSQL databases.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of PostgreSQL architecture, query optimization, database administration and built in functions.
Database security knowledge.
Knowledge about cloud technologies.
Familiarity with security auditing frameworks and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Basic experience with Linux – installation and operations processes (Linux Shell Scripting, VI skills)
Experience with administrating Java Web-Applications.
Scripting and use of XMLAPI functions.
Experience in developing new solutions and doing concept work.
Experience in developing process flows.
Knowledge of information system concepts and technologies.
Ability to interface with the business to meet requirements and targets.
Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
Work experience with incident management, change management and problem management.
Advantageous Skills:
ITIL certification is advantageous.
Basic experience with SPLUNK is helpful.
Work experience with database auditing, logging, and monitoring.
Written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of data modelling and data visualization tools.
Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Understanding of cloud-based database services, such as Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL or Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and the ability to leverage cloud-specific features for managing database access.
