Pricing Specialist at FNB South Africa

Job Description

• To support business profitability, customer acquisition and retention through appropriate pricing reviews in line with the pricing mandate. 
• To provide front-line pricing query resolution for a wide range of products and to maintain high levels of service quality and customer satisfaction
• Identify and utilise opportunities for revenue growth to deliver on sales targets
• Attend to and resolve pricing queries and refunds as and when required
• Assist in developing pricing models, perform ad hoc analysis and present back to various committees to inform business decisions
• Conduct testing and ensure controls are in place for data integrity thereby mitigating revenue leakage by testing exception files against source
• Ensure the smooth running of the annual and ad-hoc pricing process and identifying improvements to the pricing process
• Implement localised Pricing strategy to address business needs
• Provide advise and assist in pricing related projects as and when required
• Display and encourage an appreciation of teamwork and inclusivity
• Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships across area of specialisation
• Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
• Manages risks in own area of responsibility
• Ensure development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes
• Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
• Deliver customer experience excellence in own service delivery aligned to Organisational values and service standards

Additional Requirements 

• 3-5 years' experience within a similar role
• Good understanding of Pricing within a banking/ Financial services environment
• Relevant bachelor's degree (BCom, Mathematics, Actuarial Science)
• Who is mature, with atleast 4 years of financial/banking services experience (advantageous)
• With previous pricing, front line and operational work experience (advantageous)
• With some interest in data science( not a requirement for the role - but it will help make fulfilling the requirements of the role easier). Will be required to run and edit some code created by data scientist on SAS and other programs to evaluate client data
• Someone who is able to analyse and interpret data and reports  
• Someone with a financial degree - who is good with numbers
• Some who is able to debug pricing issues
• Someone who is a diligent work, organised and can operate under pressure. We work with strict turnaround times
• Able to lead and delegate to the pricing analyst (previous management experience advantageous)
• Team player, should be able to work with data scientist, Risk, IT and BDMs   
• Client focused (able to effectively communicate verbally and on email)
• Someone who will maintain and develop new business requirements and process documentation
• Someone organised, discipled, and willing to go an extra mile
• Preferably with forex, vantage, HOGAN, and/or Siebel experience (not mandatory)
• Self-starter and proactive to come up with solutions or innovations for the area
