Principal Clinical Psychologist Grade 1: Mental Health & Sustenance Abuse
Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. Current registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HCPSA) as a Clinical Psychologist (2026). A minimum of three (03) years’ appropriate experience as Psychologist after registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HCPSA) as a Clinical Psychologist.
Duties
General Management of the clinical psychology department. Support mental health department. Provide professional and management support for the provision of quality patient care. Ensure psychological services are provided according to professional standards and ethical principles. Develop client systems and programs that guarantee prompt service to patients according to the delivery objectives laid down by the National department of health.
Provide guidance and leadership towards the realization of the strategic plans and operational plans of mental health services. Promote and support forensic psychological services. Manage and utilize resources in accordance with relevant directives and legislation and complying with all legal prescripts Acts, Legislatives, Policies, Circulars, Procedures and guidelines. . To organize, establish and implement the internship programme for Clinical Psychologists in Mpumalanga province.
