Principal Mining Analyst at Glencore

   The Opportunity  
The role will report to the Manager, Business Planning and Analysis, to support the Life of Mine (LOA) cost modelling, site budget and business analysis. You will work in a team of high performing professionals with a diverse portfolio of assets that will require regular travel to South America and Africa.    

You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including:  

• Support implementation and management of the LOM and budgeting process in Xeras for the African and South American operations.  
• Support site ownership of the budget inputs and results.  
• Support the evolution of the budgeting process and systems.  
• Financial modelling for feasibility studies and due diligence reviews.  
• Providing analysis that includes business cost reviews, market intelligence gathering and benchmarking.  
• Liaising with the Copper Corporate office and Industrial Assets Internal Stakeholders.  

You will have the following skills and attributes:  

• 12+ years of experience in mining operations and/or consulting.  
• Engineering and/or finance-related tertiary qualification.  
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.  
• Experience with mine site accounting systems, and mine economic analysis.  
• Bilingual in Spanish/English an advantage.
