Principal Specialist: Vodacom Business (VB) Finance Business Partner - Decision Support at Vodacom

The Principal Specialist is responsible for providing the Vodacom business Unit (VB) sales and product teams with finance support on mobile sales performance and A&R optimization and reporting.
You will also provide the Vodacom Business Unit (VB) product and sales teams with financial impact assessment on product launch decisions as well as post implementation reviews and on-going product performance and profitability analysis.

Responsibilities For This Role Will Include
Strong finance support business partner to VB product, wholesale, sales and commercial teams:

• Provide A&R reports and insights in order to drive A&R optimization within VB.
• Support the VB product, wholesale, IOT and commercial teams with finance investment decision analysis and adequate business challenge in the launch and on-going evaluation of products and campaigns
• Support VB sales teams by providing sales, channel and margin analysis on products
• Provide accurate data and robust financial models for product feasibility decisions
• Participate in budgeting and month-end reporting processes by providing accurate data related to product performance and profitability to the VB FP&A team as well as the VB Sales, Product, Wholesale, IOT and Commercial heads
• Provide accurate data and financial models for A&R investment, IBRO revenue and support decision making processes

• Create positive working relations between the VB finance team, Vodacom SA Finance and key internal stakeholders e.g. VB product, wholesale, sales and commercial teams
• Work collaboratively with the VB teams and VB Finance Business Partner team members to deliver requirements

• The ability to communicate and present effectively at a senior level is essential
• The ability to prepare and present performance to sales team and regional teams

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Data Science
• 5 - 10 years experience within Finance
• 3 - 5 years experience within the Finance Business Parterning space
• At least 2 years advanced modelling and financial management experience
• Proven ability to communicate financial results to Senior Leadership Teams
