Act as direct support to the EMEA Privacy Policy Engagement Lead, working closely with a global team on data protection and privacy policy issues across the EU, Middle East and Africa
Analyse legislative and regulatory proposals concerning privacy, data protection, data security and other related technology issues
Work with cross-functional teams to develop and articulate the company's positions on key privacy and data protection issues in the form of internal briefing documents , position papers, and related documents
Assist in designing and executing high impact policy strategies and programmatic initiatives in EMEA
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Represent Facebook at regional and global meetings and conferences where appropriate.
Minimum Qualification
4 years experience working on data protection and privacy legal and policy issues in a law firm, company, non-profit or similar organisation
Excellent academic credentials, law degree highly preferred
Highly-organized and detail-oriented
Strong analytical and writing skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to make sound judgments under tight deadlines
High degree of flexibility, willingness to travel and to work on a wide variety of legal and policy questions
Strong knowledge of and interest in emerging technologies and devices and of Facebook products and platform.
