    Process Engineer

    Key Purpose 

    • To support the development, standardisation, and optimisation of manufacturing processes across multiple sites by leveraging data-driven insights, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement principles. The role focuses on enhancing process efficiency, quality, and reliability through performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, while contributing to project delivery, process validation, and capability building within the organisation.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    Key Outcomes 

    Process Development and Standardization

    • Assist in developing and rolling out standardized operating procedures and process controls across all manufacturing plants.
    • Support the Senior Process Engineer in process design and validation for new equipment and product introductions.
    • Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies or risks and propose improvement plans.

    Performance Monitoring and Optimization

    • Monitor key process parameters and trends across sites to detect deviations or underperformance.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend technical solutions for process-related issues.
    • Work closely with plant teams to execute improvement initiatives focused on yield, energy, water, and material efficiency.

    Project Support and Commissioning

    • Contribute to engineering project planning, equipment selection, and line upgrades from a process perspective.
    • Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and process commissioning.
    • Support the validation of new processes to ensure they meet operational and product quality targets.

    Data-Driven Insights and Reporting

    • Gather, analyze, and interpret production and process data using tools like Excel, Power BI, and process historians (e.g. PI System).
    • Generate technical reports and dashboards that support decision-making and performance tracking.
    • Collaborate with Manufacturing Execution and Automation teams to enhance data integrity and traceability.

    Technical Support and Capability Building

    • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to plant teams.
    • Support knowledge sharing and training of plant-based personnel on new technologies and process best practices.
    • Liaise with equipment vendors, technical partners, and internal stakeholders as required.

    Skills, Experience & Education    
    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related technical field
    • Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or food processing are a plus

    Experience

    • 5-8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment within the FMCG industry.
    • Experience working in a multi-site environment and supporting diverse teams

    Skills

    • Working knowledge of beverage processing equipment (e.g., mixers, pasteurizers, CIP systems, fillers)
    • Familiarity with process control systems and manufacturing execution systems
    • Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools 
    • Understanding of quality systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and regulatory standards
    • Ability to develop and read PFDs, SOPs, and technical documentation
    • Strong analytical, communication, and technical reporting skills
    • Project coordination and problem-solving abilities
