Procurement Executive at Puratos

POSITION OVERVIEW

Based at our Head Office in Gauteng - Longmeadow Site, we are currently seeking:

PROCUREMENT EXECUTIVE – (Johannesburg, South Africa)

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for;

• Overseeing the purchasing activities of an organization, ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality and supplier relationships.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Supplier Management identifies, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and maintain strong relationships. This includes assessing supplier performance and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Contract Negotiation negotiates contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve the best pricing and terms, ensuring that procurement activities align with the organization’s strategic goals.
• Procurement Strategy Development, develop and implement procurement policies and strategies that enhance efficiency and support the organization’s operational and business development objectives.
• Market Analysis analyses market trends and research potential suppliers to ensure the organization is getting the best value for its purchases. Both locally and internationally.
• Inventory Management track inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages.
• Reporting and Documentation maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance, and prepare reports for management review including all Puratos reporting

PROFILE

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, CPIM or a related field and a certification in Strategic Procurement with a professional body would be an added advantage
• Experience: 5 –10 years previous experience in procurement or supply chain management, in FMCG.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
