The Role
Stitch is looking for a Product Analytics and Data Lead.
As a foundational member of Stitch's product team, reporting to our Chief Product Officer, they will be responsible for developing the data strategy, framework, infrastructure and team. A key task will be building a technology stack and environment to enable the business with advanced analytics, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence. They will define the tools, processes and governance for data on our platform.
As a business driven by data-backed decision-making, Stitch's product development and marketing will be closely tied to the learnings produced off the platform developed by this individual. They will work to allow Stitch to make optimal decisions to accelerate our growth.
In this role, you will be expected to have a combination of technical data skills with strong relationship building and business analysis abilities.
You will champion a culture of obsession for insights – from our customers, to product development, to marketing, to operations and to sales.
Responsibilities:
Create a data strategy to collate and leverage all existing data within the company, from cleaning through to deriving insights.
Gather and prioritise product, customer, and business requirements, set objectives and key results and define the data product roadmaps.
Develop data products to support all areas of the business.
Partner with other external data sources to augment our internal data.
Work directly alongside your development teams driving the product backlog and prioritisation, understanding the technology capability, business drivers and user needs simultaneously.
Develop artifacts to drive all your work forward, including requirements documents, use cases, personas, white papers, demos and presentations, and distribute these effectively throughout the organisation to ship value for the company and bring kudos to your teams.
Developing excellent working relationships with Engineering teams to deliver world-class software products in an efficient manner.
Requirements
Honours or master’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
5-10 years of data and analytics experience.
Expertise and experience with data products in a financial and regulated environment.
Understanding of multiple techniques for data processing and insights.
Can process large amounts of data from disparate sources.
Background in data processing, ideally having built products whose approach to data processing was pivotal to their success.
