    Product Manager (51364)

    Job Description

    • Our client is seeking an experienced Product Manager, based in Sandton, to lead their automotive electrical product portfolio.
    • This role provides the opportunity to manage the full product lifecycle - from strategy and sourcing to pricing, marketing, and customer support - within a dynamic and growing automotive aftermarket environment.
    • The ideal candidate will bring strong product management expertise, commercial acumen, and in-depth knowledge of a wide range of auto electrical components, including alternators, starters, ignition coils, voltage regulators, wiring harnesses, relays and fuses, battery cables and terminals, sensors, switches, lighting, and electronic control units.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Define product strategy, specifications, and roadmap.
    • Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers.
    • Develop pricing strategies, product policies, and packaging solutions.
    • Oversee product development, testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Create marketing and launch plans, campaigns, and promotional events.
    • Support sales teams with technical expertise, training, and product presentations.
    • Monitor customer feedback, branch support, and market research to guide innovation.
    • Track competitor activity and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree (postgraduate an advantage).
    • Proven product management/purchasing experience in the automotive aftermarket.
    • Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
    • Advanced MS Office (Excel), with excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Independent, proactive, and customer-focused problem solver.
