PURPOSE

• The Product Manager is responsible for a product/suite of products within a particular portfolio type. The Product Manager will manage the lifecycle of the product from the transition of a new product, its servicing and uptake of customers, ongoing enhancements and growth in collaboration with Group Payments Product Coordination and the Strategy and Transformation team. In addition, this function proactively monitors the product performance and servicing against the customer SLA’s and manages the product risks.

Your key responsibilities include:
Product strategy and initiatives

• Provide input into overarching PLM strategy.
• Develop a detailed product business plan, strategy and associated roadmap for the product suite including gap/needs identification, product lifecycle management, competitor moves and market trends, risks, opportunities, pricing, contract awareness and manage accordingly. (Ensuring milestones are aligned to BU strategy, documented, clearly understood and regularly reviewed.)
• Understand market trends, threats and opportunities.
• Grow volumes and usage through collaboration with CLM and new business development teams on proposals and customer interaction
• Provide input to financial models/business cases for new business initiatives to ensure alignment with product/company strategy
• Provide input (content) into the product brand strategy

Business Support and Product Management

• Support CLM to drive new opportunities and maintain existing clients, to ensure revenue retention and protection.
• Ensure the establishment of automated billing, interchange validation and reconciliation
• Ensure all legal, contractual and regulatory requirements are met before a new customer goes live
• Ensure compliance with product and industry disaster recovery requirements
• Review all change recommendations (enhancements and fixes) and requirements and approve changes before escalating to next level of change approval
• Be the first escalation point for all related incidents raised
• Manage a customer take-on program and deployment in alignment with all relevant business standards

Monthly reporting

• Develop monthly tracking and reporting at product level, market trends and product lifecycle
• Monthly reporting and forecasting of Customer performance, volume trends, implications and any recommended actions to grow or protect customer usage
• Monthly reporting of performance against SLA
• Identify and drive key actions at customer product level and industry level and track and resolve any performance issues or incidents raised

QUALIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE

• Relevant BComm / Product Management degree/diploma/certification
• Required computer literacy levels
• MS Office suite

Experience

• Experience in product management
• Experience in banking/financial services industry
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in related field
• Operational knowledge of financial services industry
