As a product marketing manager, you will tell the world (and company) the story of our products. Additionally, you will be charged with crafting the strategy around the messaging and marketing for new launches. As a product marketing manager, you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria, and you will transfer that knowledge to the sales and marketing channels. Key responsibilities include:
Product positioning and messaging: develop and maintain differentiated positioning and messaging for the products and solutions in your segment. Understand and document key business and technical benefits for buyers.
Sales enablement: Communicate the value proposition of the products in your segment to the Sales team and develop sales tools that support the selling process of your products. This includes externally facing content such as PowerPoint presentations, brochures, and data sheets, as well as internally facing content such as competitor cheat sheets, battle cards, and other training materials.
Support strategic sales activities: work directly with the sales team, bringing your subject matter expertise, creativity and innovation to sales cycles
Content: create content, including website content, case studies, product videos, blogs, etc to support demand generation, client communications and product launches
Product launches: serve as the Marketing lead for all new product launches, upgrades and releases in your segment. Develop the Marketing launch plan with relevant team members and project manage Marketing launch activities
Product Evangelist: be a strong advocate & evangelist for the products and services in industry forums/events/conferences, Analyst Relations activities, etc.
Understand marketing channels and digital tools: understand how customers buy and utilise solutions. Understand the channels they use to consume information and their journeys online and in-app. Utilis this knowledge and digital tools to improve usage of the product and adoption of other solutions
Market intelligence: develop and maintain a detailed understanding of industry trends, competitor capabilities, and customer needs in your market segment. Share relevant information with Product Management, Sales and other Marketing team members.
REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS degree in business, marketing or a related field.
3+ years of software product marketing experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent people skills to work effectively with remote team members and cross-functional teams in a matrix management arrangement
Occasional local travel to events including limited international travel
Experience in PropTech or enterprise software (Saas) advantageous
Detailed orientated and systems driven – Design Thinking certificates advantageous
