    Product Owner - Bryanston

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    The Opportunity

    • Serve as the voice of the client within the organisation.
    • Work with internal and external customers to analyse needs and align product roadmaps to strategic goals.
    • Own the product roadmap.
    • Develop scope and define backlog items (epics, features, user stories) that guide the Agile software development team.
    • Solve product-related problems, make decisions, and complete trade-off analysis to stay on track with business deliverable commitments.
    • Draft key objectives and results, strategies, and apply data to make sound business decisions.
    • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
    • Accountable for the created product(s), delivering the product model and communicating product needs with business partners.
    • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritise stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on maximum-value items aligned with product strategy.
    • Identify and help the client understand the business model, value, and value proposition.
    • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritised backlog of user stories for implementation.
    • Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally, and as the primary contact for product-related queries.
    • Develop appropriately detailed specifications for product features so they are clearly understood by development teams.
    • Represent the team in front of stakeholders, clients, and users.
    • Work closely with product management and senior management to create a product that fits the company portfolio.
    • Research and analyse the market, users, and product roadmap.
    • Follow competitors and industry trends.
    • Increase understanding of Scaled Agile practices, Lean Startup, new technologies, opportunities, and emerging trends.

    Ideal Qualifications:

    • A BSc or relevant formal qualification.
    • A proven track record of delivering solutions with a customer-first mindset.
    • An established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams.
    • A high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development and understanding of Scaled Agile principles.

    Technical Skills

    • Minimum 4 years' experience as a Product Owner in the Fintech space.
    • Knowledge and experience of DevOps techniques.
    • Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies.
    • Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.
    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal.
    • Experience with definition of minimum marketable features and minimum viable products (MVPs).
    • Knows how to define and manage the product roadmap.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills.
    • Entrepreneurial skills or experience.
    • Creative and strategic thinker.
    • Experience with Product Management tools and practices.
    • Overall understanding of technologies used in the product.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
