Job Summary

• We are looking for an individual to lead the Fund and Product Administration technology domain and team as Product Owner. This is a unique opportunity to shape and evolve one of the key technology capabilities that underpin our retail investment platform and critical business processes. Leading a full-stack team, you will oversee the delivery of internal applications and APIs that enable seamless integration across our technology ecosystem.
• Working in partnership with the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for defining and evolving the product vision, prioritising the backlog, driving delivery outcomes, managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective team processes, supporting the production environment, and maintaining appropriate project governance.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in product ownership, senior business and system analysis, or a related role, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and technology teams. Experience within fund administration, financial product administration, or collective investment scheme administration systems would be highly advantageous. The role requires you to build domain knowledge quickly, think strategically, and is motivated to shape the future of this foundational part of our investment technology landscape.

Job Responsibilities
Lead a cross-functional development team: 

• Responsible for supporting our fund administration, fund pricing and product rule systems and ensuring that it meets the changing needs of the business.
• Provide direct line management and guidance to business analysts. 
• Play a general leadership role within the broader IT department.

Product vision & strategy: 

• Own and articulate the product vision, aligning with business objectives and user needs. 
• Define and maintain a clear product roadmap balancing support, technical enablement, and feature delivery.

Stakeholder engagement: 

• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, end-users, and technical teams to gather, refine, and prioritize requirements. 
• Act as the primary liaison between business units and the IT team, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Backlog & delivery management: 

• Maintain a well-refined product backlog, ensuring stories are clearly defined, prioritized, and ready for development. 
• Lead sprint planning and review sessions, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements, fixes, and upgrades. 
• Work with other Product Owners to ensure the coordinated delivery of strategic business initiatives and other related functionality. 

Continuous improvement: 

• Monitor platform performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement. 
• Promote a culture of innovation, agility, quality, and continuous learning within the team.

Technical oversight: 

• Collaborate with the Tech Lead and developers to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions and manage business delivery along with technical debt.

Support & enablement: 

• Guide the team in delivering first-line support, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests. 
• Support business analysts and support analysts by reviewing specifications, advising on solution design, and validating deliverables.

Governance & documentation: 

• Ensure all requirements, decisions, and changes are well-documented and traceable.

Skills and Experience required

• Product Owner or Senior Business analyst with direct line management experience
• A collaborative and results-oriented approach, with a passion for exceeding expectations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
• The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise communication for stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Creative solution design and ability to apply first principles thinking 
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Planning, organizational and time management skills 
• Mature EQ and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders 
• Relevant Financial Services industry experience would be advantageous
• Using data to drive decision making
