    Product Portfolio Development Lead TWC

    Job Description

    To define and drive the strategy towards customer centric solutions and deliberate customer value proposition development, working closely with enablement teams for product implementation and ensure the achievement of product portfolio management objectives and business targets are met.

    To lead and develop a team of product developers to engage with transactors in the broader Trade Working Capital (TWC) capability to ideate and develop solutions which are market leading and support the growth and success of TWC and build the overall profile of TWC in the market.

    The Trade and Working Capital Product Portfolio Development Lead ensures that product developers are enabled, supported, and empowered to guide the delivery Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) Trade and Working Capital solutions to clients with transactors and are able support transactors with technical knowledge on how a product adds value to a specific client and what the product parameters are.

    • Develop, oversee and guide the creation and implementation of TWC solutions including Documentary Trade, Working Capital Solutions and Structured Solutions.
    • Lead the support to transactors in relation to all TWC Solutions, assisting with product requirements and functionality and to inform the creation of new products and solutions required to keep TWC competitive in the market.
    • Design products which will make TWC successful and work closely with the Product Enablement Head to get products implemented.
    • Lead the engagement with industry groups to build the profile of TWC products through sitting on committees, speaking opportunities and submission of awards in the industry.
    • Where required to do so engage with clients through the broader TTS and Client Groups to understand detailed client requirements to support the creation of solutions which will drive revenue and increase market competitiveness.
    • Work closely with the TTS head of Africa and in country teams to understand the specific country or regional requirements of a product and work very closely with the Product Enablement Head to deliver the solutions in country.
    • Working closely with the Product Enablement Head assist in developing TTS Working Capital Solutions strategy targeting specific sectors and client segments in collaboration with various stakeholders in the group.
    • Track and monitor the use of TWC products, identifying product requirement needs promptly to proactively design market appropriate solutions.
    • Facilitate and lead the engagement with internal stakeholders being Credit, Legal, Risk, Enablement etc. to increase the understanding of TWC products and its uses and risks inherent in the solutions.
    • Maintains good relations with team members, support staff and other transactors in wider TTS business and other divisions/business areas within RMB.
    • Support and provide input in the development of business plans/strategies for the broader TWC and TTS business.
    • Conforms to the bank’s risk policies and procedures.
    • Coach team through providing advice about subject matter, solutions, principles and processes and personal progression with the aim to improve performance.
    • Develop, encourage and nurture knowledge sharing and collaborative relationships within multiple functional areas in RMB and/or across the FRG.
    • Manage people by executing management responsibilities and create an environment that encourages employee growth and performance excellence.
    • Plan and manage performance, talent, succession and culture across function to improve performance.
    • Demonstrate leadership by providing strategic direction, fostering high ethical standards in meeting RMB/FRG's vision and goals, and design and implement strategies that maximize employee potential.
