Product, Process and Packaging Implementation Technologist (1 Year Contract) at Mars

Job Overview

This role is expected to provide product, packaging and process technical support to Operations:

• execute complex problem solving
• support building basic problem solving capability in Operations – main scope: process failures linked to process deviations, raw material and packaging issues

The role will be key in completing Recipe changes on RADAR and updating Bill of Materials on SAP.

The role will support Business Continuity and Renovation changes and lead factory trials.

What are we looking for?

• Food Science Degree/Food Technology Degree/Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years experience in similar or related roles in the Food industry (Quality, Food Safety, Engineering or Product/Process development)
• Understanding of Food manufacturing processes
• Good understanding of Food chemistry
• Project Management Capabilities & Experience
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of statistical analysis, numerical modelling, and data analysis, preferably Lean, TPM and Six Sigma experience

What will be your key responsibilities?

The job holder will be key in:

• Identification and implementation of efficiency opportunities
• Providing packaging, product and process support to Operations(if deviation from standard occurs)
• Execute problem solving
• Building basic problem solving capability in Operations – main scope: process failures linked to process deviations, raw material and packaging issues
• Leading factory trials(FI Initiatives/ Renovation/ Business Continuity)
• Communication through CP forums on trial details(objectives) and trial timings
• Initiate pre trial meeting
• Determine Key success criteria’s
• Initiate test guidance tool
• Complete technical report
• Initiate post trial meeting
• Issue instruction on stock management from trial
• Work with line operators on loss definition capturing
• Initiates and contributes to the change management process
• Rework instructions
• Contributor and decision maker in FMOS forums(CP3)
• Active member of the FI Pillar team

• Recipe Management(RADAR) :

  • New product
  • Save recipe into production on radar
  • Upload recipe to Veritas
  • Update to recipe
  • Make changes on Radar
  • Push through recipe to Veritas
  • Align recipe to production
• Creation of new codes- Master data inputs
• Creation of Finished Goods BOMs
• Extending of BOMs to a production process
• Ensure new raw material reflects on Batch buddy and PDLS
• Internal auditing (Q&FS)
• NCRs/CAPAs Root Cause and Action execution
• Drive continuous improvement of product, process, raw material and packaging linked to the top losses and priorities of the site
• Execute Small Minor projects.
• CCP/OPRP problem solving
• Document control
