    Product & Sales Trainer

    About the Role

    • We are looking for a dynamic Product & Sales Trainer to join our retail team and play a key role in developing confident, knowledgeable and high-performing store teams.
    • In this role, you will be responsible for delivering impactful onboarding, product training and sales capability development across our retail network. You will ensure that new employees are product-confident, sales-ready and aligned with the iStore customer experience from day one.
    • This position requires someone who enjoys the retail environment, enjoys working with people, and can translate product knowledge into practical sales skills that drive performance in store.

    Key Responsibilities

    Retail Onboarding

    • Facilitate structured onboarding programmes for new iStore employees.
    • Deliver role-specific learning aligned to defined learning paths.
    • Ensure new team members reach sales readiness within agreed timelines.
    • Assess onboarding competency through practical evaluations and certification.
    • Partner with Store Managers to reinforce learning in store.

    Product Training

    Deliver engaging product training covering:

    • Apple ecosystem
    • Devices and accessories
    • iStore services and solutions
    • Translate technical product information into clear, customer-focused sales messaging.
    • Support product launches with structured training rollouts.
    • Maintain consistent product knowledge standards across stores.

    Sales Capability Development

    Facilitate sales training focused on:

    • Customer engagement and needs analysis
    • Consultative selling techniques
    • Solution selling across the Apple ecosystem
    • Objection handling and closing techniques
    • Attach rate optimisation
    • Coach retail teams on the sales floor where required.
    • Reinforce behavioural sales standards aligned to brand expectations.

    Store Performance Support

    • Conduct store visits to observe, coach and support retail teams.
    • Identify capability gaps and provide targeted coaching.
    • Support underperforming stores with focused training interventions.
    • Track the impact of training initiatives against sales performance.

    Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Work closely with Retail Operations, Store Managers and Product Teams.
    • Provide input into learning content based on insights from the field.
    • Identify recurring knowledge gaps and recommend training solutions.

    Training Administration & Reporting

    • Maintain onboarding schedules and attendance records.
    • Track certification results and sales readiness metrics.
    • Provide reporting on training completion and effectiveness.
    • Ensure consistent training standards across the retail network.

    Requirements

    Experience

    • 3–5 years’ experience in retail sales
    • 2–3 years’ experience in training, facilitation or coaching
    • Experience in a multi-store retail environment will be advantageous

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Strong understanding of consumer technology and the Apple ecosystem
    • Solid understanding of retail sales and customer experience
    • Familiarity with LMS platforms will be advantageous
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

    Qualifications

    • Qualification in Training, Education, HR or a related field advantageous but not essential.
