Production Foreman at Afrimat

Minimum Qualification / Experience

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Valid operator’s license
• Production/Engineering related qualification
• 5 years + experience in quarrying/mining production
• 2 years + experience in a supervisory function
• Pit experience with Competent A advantageous

Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):

• Oversee the entire production line of the quarry from load and haul, plant production and product quality
• Liaise with TMM operators, plant production team & fixed plant maintenance team
• Scheduling work by anticipating needs and monitoring progress
• Gather and analyse information, identify solutions and solve problems
• Achieve production set targets
• Ensure that material, information, and tools are efficiently organized
• Knowledge of the safety, health and environmental systems and applying them actively
• Monitor plant performance and ensure plant efficiency standards are met
• Set direction for self and the team
• Promote responsibility and empowerment
• Encourage performance, offer support and guidance where required
• Ensure products meet relevant SANS specifications
• Be knowledgeable with the Afrimat KPI and AVA system
