Production Manager at LED lighting SA

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager in order to assist with management of factory and production employees. The position is supported by the Production Team Leader, Supply Chain Manager and Production Planner. This person should be passionate about their work and have the ability to drive their team to success.

Your role will involve, the following:

• Management of factory and production employees
• Ensure that quality standards for products are adhered to on every job
• Management of Suppliers and Supplier Relationships
• Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedures and systems for all production operations

Regular reporting to management on:

• Production Performance
• Production inventory shortage, incomplete orders, and deliveries times
• Capacity levels
• Average lead times
• Product lead times and on time delivery of products
• Ensuring that the design-to-production process is managed smoothly, and that relevant internal people are involved and active in the initiation training as new products come online
• Manage all aspects of stock including management of the stock room
• Control factory costs through effective production planning and management and purchasing
• Good housekeeping of the entire factory, storeroom and vehicle fleet
• Manage housekeeping and efficiency of ERP System
• Collect and analyse data to find places of waste or overtime
• Commit to plant safety procedures

Qualifications, Competencies and Attributes

• Tertiary Qualification in relevant field (Advantageous)
• Proven experience in a Production Manager role
• Familiar with all legislature and amendments with regards to Production Environment
• Familiar with ERP and MRP software
• Must be Computer literate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
