Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on the use of all tools, equipment, and resources; ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with EHS and regulations and guidelines to uphold quality expectations of customer and company.
Identify training and development opportunities for production foreman and their teams and monitor progress against KPIs.
Ensure all standards and customer commitments (i.e., safety, waste reductions, output, etc are followed within the plant.
Apply WCM AM methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of Yield and Availability in line with the annual budget. This will include deployment of AM projects and use of basic tools in the workshop.

The ideal candidate must have a Degree (BSC, B.Eng. Chemical / Electrical / Industrial / Mechanical). 5 years’ experience in a Production or Process discipline in a continuous process manufacturing environment and 3 years’ experience in a management/leadership role. Knowledge of and can work within ISO9000 ISO14000 and OSHAS18000 systems. Computer Literacy, WCM experience for internal applicants. This role calls for a person who is good at communication as exposure to work on a unionised environment will set you apart.

Responsible for managing and coordinating direct reports and manufacturing activities, utilizing systems knowledge of product function, WCM methodology, procedures and machine and equipment capabilities.
Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing facility including overseeing plant production, materials, equipment and tools to ensure efficiency is maintained and projects remain on schedule.
Maximise Yield; OEE; TE; EHS and minimise unplanned stops, breakdowns and HERCAs through continuous improvement methods, technology, equipment and materials and partnership with key stakeholders.
